Faith Partners Comprehensive Training: The Rock has the opportunity to bring in Faith Partners to host a FREE 2-day training to help our congregation develop a team ministry for alcohol/drug and mental health issues by building a system based on our congregation’s strengths and theology. This training is for everyone who wants their congregation to play its own important role in these issues. Plan now to join us after the service for our potluck Crocktoberfest lunch on Sunday, October 15 in the cafe. Bring a main dish and either a dessert or side dish to share. (Please stay even if you can’t bring anything this time!)
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 31 from 6:30-8:30 for our Halloween Trunk or Treat at The Rock. Live music, games, candy, and more.
This is a community focused event, so please invite your neighbors and friends to join us.
If you would like to participate, you can decorate a trunk or donate candy. Leave bagged candy donations on a table in the cafe. Contact Brevin or Micky Sloup for details.
October is church worker appreciation month! All church workers need prayer. Pray for them and their families and let them know you are doing so. Also please pray to the Lord of the harvest for those future church workers whom God will raise up to fill these sacred and joyful roles in His Kingdom.
Whether they serve as a pastor, director of Christian Education (DCE), deaconess, music director or educator, each and every church worker helps proclaim the Good News! Think about all of the workers who have served you and your family over the years and consider reaching out to them to thank them for their dedication.

Our October item for the Blue Valley food pantry is rice. Thanks for being a blessing to the community in this way! You can see our Blue Valley Pantry item schedule on our website. Year-round they also collect the following: pasta, pasta meal mixes, instant potato side dishes, and mashed potatoes.
