Rock News

Dear Friends:

Here’s a little Rock news…

  1. THIS SUNDAY:  It’s a good thing I’m so humble, because I’m a really a pretty big deal.  Join us this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at the Lied Senior Center for the last week of Liar Liar.  The world is always telling you it’s all about you, but is it really?  We’ll see what God’s Word has to say about the subject.  Grab your mom (she really is a big deal) and the whole family and join us at the Rock this week.
  2. COMFORT DOG:   On Sunday, May 17, Eddie the Comfort Dog, along with some of his handlers, will be at The Rock.  They will be available before worship to interact with people and then, after worship, will be available for an informal question-answer-info time.  We are getting close to having everything lined up to make a decision on how the Rock could move forward with a comfort dog.  This is a great opportunity to find out more about what comfort dogs do and to get to meet a comfort dog in person (in dog?).  If there are some questions you already have, it would be great to submit them now so we can ask the handlers to be ready with answers.  You can email your questions to me or to Pastor Mike (pastor@therockseward.org) or write them on a slip of paper and drop them in a questions box this Sunday.
  3. BLUE VALLEY PANTRY:  If thinking of your sweet mother and all she’s done for you brings a tear to your eye, bring some facial tissue to the Rock this Sunday or any Sunday this month.
  4. THE NEW ROCK:  Work continues at the new Rock.  Thanks to everyone who has been helping.  Watch for more opportunities to help in the near future.

Blessings on your weekend.

Tim Moll
