The Rock Library

If your bookshelves are anything like ours, they probably hold several books that you certainly don't use on a daily basis! It might be the book that you used a few years ago in a Bible Study and haven't looked at since or the children's devotional book that your kids have now outgrown. Maybe you aren't ready to sell or donate these items, but wouldn't it be nice to let someone else get some good out of them in the meantime? If you have items that you would be willing to loan out to others who attend The Rock, follow the steps below!

Type up a list of the items you will let others borrow. (Items should be Christian or inspirational in nature.) It doesn't matter what format the list is in (Microsoft Word, Excel, directly in email, etc.) but please include the following information about each item: Title, ISBN number or author if you cannot find an ISBN. Email the list of items to boggs@neb.rr.com along with your name and contact information. When a request comes in for an item from your list you will be contacted and asked how long you would be willing to loan out that item. Then, bring the item to church with you the following Sunday. It's as simple as that!

ISBN numbers are generally found on the back cover of a book above the barcode. They can also sometimes be found on the verso page inside the book where you would also find the copyright date.

Please don't lend out items that have either high monetary or sentimental value as there is always the possibility that they could get lost or damaged. (In other words, no 1st edition, signed copies or your great-great-great-grandmother's family Bible that came over with her on the Mayflower!)
