What: Confirming the faith given at your baptism!
For students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
When: Wednesday Nights, beginning Sept. 5, 2012
6:15-7:30 p.m.
Where: The Rock, 1300 West Hillcrest Dr.
What should I bring? Bible and Catechism. If you don’t have one, come anyway and we will provide
Confirmation should be something fun where our junior high age students are allowed to learn and grow in their faith. That is why we have chosen to follow Faith Inkubators Head to Heart Ministry which is a program that allows parents to be involved in building their youths relationship with Christ and involves small group.
Our youth will learn through skits, art, music, game shows and engaged brain based learning. The Bible is our textbook for learning. This year our focus is “Living Faith”. We will focus on the 10 commandments, Lords Prayer and many other Hot Topics.
Our ministry focuses on three core elements that include learning, fellowship and service to others.
Our ministry is open to all youth in the community. We want to reach out to everyone based on our Lutheran beliefs.

Bring your friends for some fun time chillin' out, snacking, playing games, talking about recent events and maybe learning a bit about your faith
in the process. Everyone is welcome!

NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING
The National Youth Gathering will be held next July in San Antonio, Texas. It's an awesome event and a group from the Rock will be attending. Parrents and youth who are interested are invited to another informational meeting at the Rock right after the 10:30 gathering on Sunday, September 9. Bring your questions and your ideas for fundraisers to help defray some of the costs.

Speaking of fundraisers, the next opportunity is coming up quickly. We are looking for volunteers to help sell pizza and pop at the Rock the Block concert at the Bandshell on September 15. To volunteer, contact Wayne or Lori Bruns (wbruns@stewireless.com).
